This is my standard "long distance" shoot setup. Nikon D300s/Nikon 80-400 AFVR lense. The small rectangular object attached to the strap is a flash light used for set up on night shoots.
This is my "event" setup. The bracket allows a 90 degree shift in the camera position while leaving the flash above.
The attachment on the flash is called a "better beamer". It focuses the light so that you can get "flash" assisted shots at much greater distances. Should not be used with less than 300mm lens due to the vignetting effects.
Got this one ...still in the box. Paid something like $4.50 for it...should be worth at least $2.00 now !!!???
A Sigma 170-500 zoom AF lens. Always use a tripod when I carry this one in the field.
An old Argus C3. I used this one frequently when taking B&W stuff for classes in college.
A retired film camera. Heavy as two bricks...this is a "glass lens"
Another retired film camera.
A flash meter to take the guess work out of lighting setups.
This is a battery pack of sorts. It provides AC power. Purchased from http://paulcbuff.com/ in order to power studio strobes in the field
I'm a little "old school" on some of this stuff. Always like to be able to use an old friend to READ the light.
Using this bad boy will teach you mamy things about photography.
